Apprenticeship in Motor Vehicle Body Repair

Apprenticeship in Motor Vehicle Body Repair

Intermediate and Advanced Apprenticeships are available for those aged 16 years upwards and employed for 30 hours per week or more.

Apprenticeship courses provide an excellent opportunity for people to learn as they earn and gain nationally recognised qualifications on the job.

The Level 2 Apprenticeship in Body Repair
will equip technicians in assessing and repairing the damage and restoring the body on a range of light and heavy vehicles. Participants will gain the knowledge, understanding and practical skills required for working in an accident and repair environment.

The qualification will include both a competence and a knowledge certificate, maths, English and ICT at L1, employee rights and responsibilities and personal learning and thinking skills.

The Level 3 Apprenticeship in Accident Body Repair
equips technicians to assess the extent of damage to the vehicle, make decisions on whether the vehicle is repairable, supervise the removal of damaged panels, repair damaged panels and chassis using welding equipment and ensure vehicles are safe. Also support other team members on targets.

The apprenticeships will include both competence and knowledge qualifications, functional maths,  English and ICT at L2, employee rights and responsibilities and personal learning and thinking skills.

You will be guided and fully supported through your programme of learning by trade qualified and industry experienced assessors who will visit you in your workplace as you carry out your job.

Our courses are accredited by City & Guilds and are offered at both Level 2 & 3.

Further progression to higher level qualifications are a chosen route for some individuals.

Apprenticeships are free training courses that are government funded.
