Apprenticeship in Retail
Apprenticeship in Retail
Intermediate and Advanced Apprenticeships are available for those aged 16 years upwards and employed for 30 hours per week or more.
Apprenticeship courses provide an excellent opportunity for people to learn as they earn and gain nationally recognised qualifications on the job.
The Level 2 Apprenticeship in Retail Skills offers a wide range of units to support those working in a retail setting. The apprenticeship includes aspects of sales, customer support and stock control. It will include both a knowledge and a competence qualification, functional maths and english at L1, employee rights and responsibilities and personal learning and thinking skills.
The Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship in Retail has two strands which focus on either sales professional or management roles. The sales professional is aimed at experienced sales assistants who coach sales assistants and are involved in merchandising the sales area.
The management pathway is suitable for those managing a team in a medium to large store or smaller areas in a medium to large organisation. Both are specifically designed to develop skills required by the retail industry and include both competence and knowledge components, functional maths and English at L2, employee rights and responsibilities and personal learning and thinking skills.
You will be guided and fully supported through your programme of learning by trade qualified and industry experienced assessors who will visit you in your workplace as you carry out your job.
Our courses are accredited by City & Guilds and are offered at both Level 2 & 3.
Further progression to higher level qualifications are a chosen route for some individuals.
Apprenticeships are free training courses that are government funded.
