Training Centres

Nova has 28 apprenticeship training centres throughout the West Midlands and the East of England. All centres are well equipped with ICT, plasma screens and a range of other resources. Many of our centres have additional workshops where you can learn a trade such as bricklaying, hairdressing, retail, beauty, plumbing, decorating, plastering, carpentry or motor vehicle.

Bradley Slater– Willenhall
 
As a progressive route to gaining some excellent vocational qualifications, Bradley joined Nova Training in November of this year; with the aim that it will leads to a level 2 Apprenticeship in Motor Vehicle Engineering. 
 
Since being on programme Bradley has shown a high level of motivation and commitment to the programme, with an excellent attendance record and interacts positively with other learners in the class. He has completed & passed his Functional Skills Maths & English, NOCN Award and is now working on a brilliant motor vehicleplacement with a view of being taken on in the not so distant future to do a level 2 Apprenticeship in Motor Vehicle Engineering.
 
Bradley would like to work as a mechanical engineer specialising in working on car engines and see’s Nova has a great foundation to reaching his goal.
 
While on training he has proven himself to be a friendly, hardworking, polite, well-mannered young man with a willingness to succeed. On programme he has developed a maturity well beyond his years and other staff members have commented on his excellent attitude towards his qualification work.
 
It gives us great pleasure to nominate Bradley as learner of the month it is well deserved.

Learner of the Month - February 2013

David Scott - Willenhall


David has been on the Study Programme since October 2012 and since he has started he has shown a high level of motivation, commitment and enthusiasm to the programme.  He has worked well in completing his NOCN Award and Functional skills qualifications in Maths and English.

David has always demonstrated a positive attitude towards the programme and he has always taken part in all activities in the centre. David always has a positive work ethic and he has made valid and constructive contributions to sessions.

David has made good friends and gets on well with his peers in the classroom. David has successfully achieved his Functional skills qualifications in English and Maths.
 
David is a well respected learner, who is respected by all staff and his peers. He is punctual to sessions and attendance is excellent. David has also made an excellent start to his Construction qualification at Brownhills, where he has been punctual to all sessions and worked well in all areas.

Learner of the Month - January 2013
Ashley Young - Willenhall


Ashley has been on the programme since October 2012 and since he has started he has shown a high level of motivation and commitment to the programme.  He has worked well in completing his NOCN Award and Functional skills qualifications in Maths and English.

Learner of the Month - December 2012
Kuranveer Rundhawa - Willenhall

Kuranveer has been on the programme since July 2012 and during this time he has shown a good level of motivation and commitment. He has worked well in completing his work towards his Functional Skills qualifications.

Kuranveer has demonstrated a positive attitude towards the programme, he takes part in all activities in the centre and always works well with all peers and tutors.

Kuranveer has made good friends and gets on well with his peers in the classroom. His work was excellent throughout this qualification and showed enthusiasm and determination. Whilst on placement at Brownhills Kuranveer has worked well in completing his units in his Construction qualification and making good progress.

Kuranveer is well respected by all staff and tutors. He is always punctual to sessions and attendance is excellent.

Learner of the month - November 2012
Lisa Hall– Willenhall

Lisa came to Nova from College and has worked closely with her tutor to complete her Functional Skills English, Maths & ITC. Alongside this she is working towards her Level 1 Introduction to the hair and beauty.

Since starting hair and beauty Lisa has demonstrated high levels of work, and the effort she has been putting in has been demonstrated through her practical and written work. She has maintained excellent attendance and time keeping and is always willing to work at home to achieve her certificate.

Lisa would like to progress onto her Level two in hairdressing and gain an apprenticeship, Nova training are developing her work skills to help her accomplish this.

Lisa is a very well-mannered young lady who is always willing to help others in her group, her team work has been excellent and since coming onto her hair and beauty she has grown as an individual showing maturity, commitment and hard work. Her confidence as a person, and a hairdresser have continuously improved. Lisa is truly an inspiration and an excellent role model to other learners in her group. Lisa would be an excellent candidate for an apprenticeship and will make an excellent hairdresser.

It gives me great pleasure to nominate Lisa as learner of the month for November, it is well deserved.

Learner of the month - October 2012

Abu Juhell - Willenhall

Abu has been on the programme since June 2012 and during this time he has shown a high level of motivation and commitment. He has worked well in completing his NOCN qualification, Functional skills and Award in Business Administration.

Abu has demonstrated a positive attitude towards the programme, he takes part in all activities in the centre where this has shown Abu to have a positive work ethic and has made valid and constructive contributions to sessions.

Abu has made good friends and gets on well with his peers in the classroom. Abu has recently completed his Award in Business Administration which he passed successfully. His work was excellent throughout this qualification and he showed enthusiasm and determination. Whilst on placement in the office, Abu always worked well in all tasks including using the telephone and answering, receiving calls, completing administration tasks and welcoming visitors.

Abu is well respected by all staff and tutors. He is always punctual to sessions and attendance is excellent.

Learner of the month - August 2012
Jordan Harris– Willenhall

Jordan came to Nova from College and chose to take an alternative route to gain a vocational qualification, with the aim to complete his Functional Skills English, Maths & ITC that will lead him to a level 2 Apprenticeships in Motor Vehicle.

Since being on programme Jordan has shown a high level of motivation and commitment towards the programme with a maturity beyond his years.  He works really hard to produce work at a high standard.

Jordan would like to work within the Motor vehicle industry through the apprenticeship route and believes that Nova will give him the opportunity to accomplish this aim.

Jordan has proven himself to be a friendly, hard-working, polite, and well mannered young man. He has also demonstrated a wonderful attitude towards his work ethic, which makes him a good role model for his peers without even realising it; this has not gone unnoticed by other staff members, who have commented on how he is progressing and his excellent attitude towards life.

It gives me great pleasure to nominate Jordan as learner of the month for August.  It is well deserved.
