Workshop Tutor (£16340 - £18360 depending upon existing qualifications)

Are you a qualified Bricklayer, Electrician, Carpenter or Motor Vehicle Technician looking for a change in career? Do you think you could pass on your knowledge and skills to young people between the ages of 14-19? The main duties of the position are to train and assess a wide range of young people from differing backgrounds to C&G level 1/2 standard. You will be responsible for both the training and the assessment of the young people. The successful candidate will need to be qualified to a minimum level 3 or hold an Advanced Craft Certificate, you will require good communication skills and have a genuine desire to work with young people. You will also be required to complete an enhanced CRB disclosure application (paid for by the company). Full training is available for the position, this includes professional qualifications funded by the company and delivered in work hours.

Bricklaying and Motor Vehicle tutor positions are available at our Brownhills Centre.

Electrician and Carpentry tutor positions are available at our Wednesbury Centre.

Motor Vehicle Lead  (Salary depending upon existing qualifications and experience)

The Motor Vehicle Lead position will involve working across sites.

Are you a qualified and experienced motor vehicle assessor and verifier?  The main duties of the position include quality assuring the provision of learning to a range of young people from differing backgrounds to C&G level 1/2 standard. The successful candidate will need to be qualified to a minimum level 3 or hold an Advanced Craft Certificate, will need to be A1 and V1 qualified and meet the occupational competence requirements for the Motor Vehicle NVQ Assessment Strategy. You will be required to liaise with External Quality Assurance Agencies and ensure all provision satisfies the Award Bodies Approval and Assessment Criterion. You will also ensure that all teaching and learning for Motor Vehicle is standardised across all sites and arrange regular standardisation sessions. You will monitor staff achievement towards agreed targets of 75% unit accreditation and 50% of learners gaining full awards. You will prepare an annual IV sampling plan and carry out assessor observations and candidate interviews, feeding into the overall quality improvement processes. You will require good communication skills and have a genuine desire to work with young people. You will also be required to complete an enhanced CRB disclosure application (paid for by the company).

Placements and Progressions Officer (£16340 - £18360 depending upon experience)

The Placement and Progression Officer position is available in the Telford and Wrekin area only but may also cover areas of the Black Country.

To recruit placements, carry out interviews and assessments of learners. To carry out secondary risk assessments in placement companies. To market learners and NOVA products to local employers.

To maintain good relationships with existing placements for NOVA Training to "become the training provider of choice"

Key Workers/Tutors (£16340 - £18360 depending upon existing qualifications)

Key worker positions are available across the Black Country and in the Telford and Wrekin area.

Do you think you could pass on your knowledge and skills to young people between the ages of 16 - 19 ? The main duties of the position are to train and assess a wide range of young people from differing backgrounds to key skills level 1/2 standard. You will be responsible for both the training and the assessment of the young people. The successful candidate will ideally to be qualified to level 3 with level 2 Literacy and Numeracy (or be willing to undertake diagnostic tests to satisfy this criteria) . You will require good communication skills and have a genuine desire to work with young people. You will also be required to complete an enhanced disclosure application (paid for by the company). Full training is available for the position, this includes professional qualifications funded by the company and delivered in work hours.

Centre Supervisor/Manager (Salary dependent upon qualifications/experience/income of respective centre)

Centre Supervisor/Manager positions are available in Telford and across the Black Country.

To be responsible for all learners, employees and visitors at respective centres. To maximise income generation and profitability of respective centres. To ensure that all targets in relation to profiles, achievements, retention and progression are met for the staff, and that individual staff at respective centres, achieve their targets. To take full budgetary responsibility in relation to costs/spend at respective centres and to ensure all staff, learners and visitors at respective centres comply with NOVA Training's comprehensive EO, H&S and Quality Improvement policies and procedures.
