National Minimum Wage Rates for Apprentices 2014/15

With effect from October 1st 2014 the National Minimum Wage (NMW) for Apprentices is £2.73 per hour.

This applies to 16-18 year old Apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship.

For all other Apprentices the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies.

The wage for Apprentices applies to both time spent on the job plus time spent training.

The National Minimum Wage rate per hour depends on your age and whether you’re an apprentice – you must be at least school leaving age to get it.

*This rate is for apprentices under 19 or those in their first year. If you’re 19 or over and past your first year you get the rate that applies to your age.
