Headstart
Headstart is a foundation training programme tailored to meet your individual needs. It could be work experience, skills or training. Whatever you require to help you move forward into work, further education or an Apprenticeship. Nova are here to help.
How can Headstart help you?
The Headstart programmes can offer training, qualifications, work experience and support. You will also have the opportunity to gain functional skills up to level two. The qualifications and skills you can gain on Headstart include;

Threaded throughout your programme will be personal and social development and a vocational qualification, these will give you the skills and confidence to approach and communicate with employers and develop your skills to be in the best possible position to progress to further education, an apprenticeship or employment.
Headstart can help you gain confidence, meet new people and also put money in your pocket through our bursary scheme which allows you to earn regular bonuses, a weekly allowance and travel allowances. There are no strict timescales so Headstart gives you all the time you need to get trained, get qualifications and get to where you want to be.

Apprenticeships

If you didn't get on at school but want to get on in life then our Aspirations or Kickstart Gold programme could be just what you're looking for. Both programmes offer a wide range of learning and enrichment activities. Our programmes are designed to help you decide which career path you want to pursue. The programme has no fixed timescales so is really flexible.
Whilst on programme you'll be able to try your hand at various trades in our workshops or on an employers premises. You'll get to look at various public sector trades such as the Army, Police and Fire Service and be provided with information, advice and guidance on any vocational area you're interested in.
What's more if you're lacking in qualifications we can tailor all your activities so you can gain City and Guilds keyskills in the following;
- Improve own learning
- Working with others
- Problem solving
